Mission Statement

The Disciples of Grandmaster Tang Fong have spread all over the world. Although many have had the pleasure of meeting each other, others have not had the opportunity. This rich tapestry of Tang Fong Hung Ga practitioners, whose personal expressions of the art thrive, will make for memorable meetings and the sharing of both friendship and knowledge as we continue to grow and to document our shared history.

Proposal

Tang Fong Hung Ga Kung Fu has practitioners all over the world, but there is no centralised place to find out about them, or find them.

As a practitioner, I would like to be able to go somewhere I have never been and meet like-minded people to show me around or introduce me to local things. With such a wide potential network, there is an opportunity to establish a community to promote Tang Fong Hung Ga and to support its practitioners. 

We will establish a website for all things Tang Fong Hung Ga. The website will be publicly available to learn about Tang Fong and Tang Fong Hung Ga Kung Fu. It will also help new students to find schools in their area.

The website will be run by a global administrator who maintains the website and helps to find volunteers to be local administrators. Local administrators will be responsible for their region by being the main point of contact for visitors. They will direct questions and visitors to schools and members in their area as well as search for people and schools to join the network.

Membership of the website will be completely free and can be either as a School Member, providing public information about a school and a profile for the instructor(s); or as a Personal Member, gaining access to contact details for local administrators and having the ability to message other members.

In the future, this platform could be expanded in many ways, including helping to promote schools by publicising and linking their content, or organising meetups for practitioners in various parts of the world.
